This is article number three in the series on “How To Win With Your Online MLM Business Using the Internet.” The second article talked about “The Power of the Funded Proposal When Building Your Online MLM Business,” at the end of which I said we’d focus on Personal Branding in article number three. So here it is.
Personal Branding is really just one aspect, albeit a really important one, of Attraction Marketing, which is something that is key to your success in the mlm industry. But since I’ve already gone into plenty of detail in my article “BRANDING – A GREAT WAY TO GET FREE MLM LEADS” here on my blog, I’ll just give you the “nutshell version and then take a look at what you should be branding yourself FOR. Here’s a quote from the branding article to explain: “Keep in mind here, it’s not about the company you’re with. You are promoting YOU, and what you offer to people that’s of value to them and whatever mlm business they are building. For instance, my domain name is ClintMello.com. That’s part of branding me. When people see my name, I want them to relate it to good quality information and someone that they can trust. I want to be their go-to guy for info, tips and tools for helping them build their business.”
That really sums it up pretty well. You see, it’s not about just getting people to know who you are and to see your name everywhere. What’s important here is HOW they see you, or put another way, WHO or WHAT do they see you as? You want them to see you as a LEADER, because people are attracted to leaders, not companies. People are attracted to leaders because leaders offer value and power to those who associate with them. So how do you become an online mlm business leader? Increase your value and what you can offer others by educating yourself using the same kinds of resources that successful leaders do…if you want to be where they’re at and have what they have, than DO WHAT THEY DO! With A Twist!
A perfect example of a good place to start would be Mike Dillard’s “Magnetic Sponsoring,” which is not only what this article series is based on, but also the foundation for the entire mlm business system that I use. In fact, I believe it so powerful and so eye-opening that it is absolutely mandatory reading for anyone that wants to be a part my primary mlm business team. No joke. If they aren’t willing to buy, study and put the principles found in this book to work for them as quickly as possible, than I’m not willing to work with them. I’m not going to waste my time or theirs. They may surely make it big someday, but they’re choosing to take the long, hard route to get there. You know the old adage…you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink. Well, it’s the same with people. You can give them the information and the tools to become successful, but if they aren’t willing to put them use, they’re gonna fail.

Becoming successful with your online mlm business appears to be a very detailed and possibly overwhelming subject. But in reality, as Mike Dillard puts it, your “success in this industry comes down to just TWO things…
- Becoming a leader to others by increasing your value.
- The ability to express your value to prospects through marketing.”
Pretty simple, eh? Easy to grasp, yeah. Easy to put into practice? Maybe not so much for most folks. That’s why you’ll hear me say time and time again how extremely important it is for you to have a system in place that is built on these mlm business truths and teaches you how to put them into action, not only for your success, but for those in your group as well because let’s face it, the speed, level and longevity of your success depends a great deal on whether your team can duplicate that same success.
