MLM Lead Geneeration using videos, part I. Hey guys. Clint Mello here from ClintMello.com. As the title of the video suggests, this video training is on how to use a Video Marketing mlm lead generation strategy to put your home based mlm business building efforts on turbo. Let me tell you real quick what this is NOT going to be.
This is NOT going to give you just bits and pieces, and then tell you that you have to “buy this” or “join that” to get the real deal specifics on how to use video marketing to generate mlm leads effectively.
Now I’m probably going to have to break this up into a couple of video trainings, because there is that much information, but you’ll get everything you need to know to make professional videos and then use them effectively as an amazing mlm lead generation technique to build your home based mlm business by the end of this training series.
Now before we dive right in, I want to give you a heads up on where I learned this and how you can have access to the same detailed, cutting edge info for FREE. Well, let’s get to it. Google was the creation of 3 guys – Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim on Feb. 14, 2005. YouTube went from 0 visitors to 4 million monthly visitors in just 3 short months. Google bought YouTube in Oct. 2006 for $1.65 Billion dollars! Now it generates over 1 Billion hits per day and is the #4 most visited website! Wow!
So now you have a little idea of the kind of traffic that YouTube draws, and what you’re missing out on if you’re not utilizing it for your online mlm business. Still not convinced? Here’s a few more stats for you: 6 out of every 10 people online are watching video, there are 20 hours of new content uploaded to YouTube every minute, YouTube is the #1 largest video site online, YouTube accounts for 40% of video streams, AND YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine.
So why use video? For a couple of great reasons: people are visual, and tend to have short attention spans, videos allow you get higher in the search engines, they let people “get to know you” without actually ever meeting you, YouTube is a social media site, where people hang out, and best of all…IT”S FREE!
Alright, you’ve got some background here, and statistics to show you why you should be utilizing video marketing and YouTube to generate mlm leads, so let’s take a look at the basic tools you’ll need. First and most obvious, a webcam or FLIP camera. A FLIP is so easy to use and easy to keep on hand and pull out anywhere…it’s a great investment. Next, a tabletop tripod. Internet access of course. And video editing software: Imovie for a Mac, and Free Software with Windows Movie Maker Live, and the Flip cam actually comes with it’s own editing software, which makes it super simple to use.
Just an F.Y.I. here, we use the Flipcam with a full size tripod and absolutely love it! It’s simple to use, produces great quality videos, is simple to edit, and was just a great fit for us. HOWEVER, I would like to add here that the one drawback we ran into with this video camera was that there is NO way to hook up an external mic to get the best sound quality possible, and sound quality IS ultra important to making quality videos. We’ve still produced lots of great quality videos, and I’d still recommend it for getting started with your mlm lead generation video marketing strategy. But there are other quality video cams out there that are reasaonably priced if you’re just beginning, so do some research.

One of the keys here to effective video marketing is to keep your video camera with you at all times and to view everyday situations as opportunities to make interesting videos. Let me give you an example of what I’m talking about. Say you’re stuck in traffic somewhere. Whip out the camera and do a video on the traffic jam, asking folks if this is their life every day, spending hours in traffic round trip to get to somewhere that they absolutely hate, and wishing they had an alternative solution so they could make some money from home. Then tell them that YOU’RE their solution.
Or if you’re on vacation on somewhere great with your kids, pull out the video cam and make a video on how great it is to be able to have the time and money to do what you’re doing, and don’t they want that too? We look for beautiful places to stop and shoot a video whenever we’re out and about, and we love to shoot them when we’re on our daily walks with our two labs, Tag and Fly, out in our back 40.
You get the picture…use your everyday life as part of your video marketing strategy. These filmable moments are what Nicole Cooper, who gave this mlm lead generation by video marketing training, calls “teachable moments.” It’s real, and people can relate. And it gives you the chance to create a lot of valuable content on an almost daily basis.
And be both creative and resourceful. If you’re out and an opportunity presents itself but you don’t have your tripod to put your camera on, so what! Stretch out your arm, point it at yourself, and shoot! Get’R done. You’re going to hear me mention “just take action” a lot. That’s because it is so majorly important to your success.
You also need to add in some teaching/training videos, like how to use any equipment or tools associated with whatever mlm lead generation strategy you’re teaching or focusing on. For instance, with video marketing, you can make short “how-to’s” on how to use the tripod and how to use everyday situations to make videos. The more experience you get with making these marketing videos, the more interesting and unique the video ideas that will come to you. You’ll truly begin to grow in you ability to utilize this technique effectively as you continue to use it.

But since we already mentioned at the beginning of this video that short attention spans are an issue, we’re going to conclude this one and call it part 1 of the series.
